I had always wanted to see the rolling dunes of White Sands National Park. The amazing San Andreas mountain range in the background. It was a no-brainer that this adventure for sunset was going to be worth it. Eventually the light cascaded over the San Andreas mountains and showered the dunes. This light gave a yellow-white hue and added to the soft whites of the sand dunes. Another cool aspect is the erosion on the dunes that creates patterns around sediment and oasis within the shaded valley areas. The desert and most specifically sand dunes always offer many unique perspectives.
